In this 6th Harry Potter film, our wizard enters his 6th year at Hogwarts and discovers a book that leads to some revealing secrets about the past & future.
HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE takes Harry on a journey of discovery about Voldemort's past.
As Voldemort gains more and more control of both the school and the muggle world, the safe haven of Hogwarts is compromised and Harry and Dumbledore team up to begin what will be a very long battle.
Radcliffe is excellent as Harry and an all-star cast delivers throughout, with Jim Broadbent (Slughorn), Michael Gambon (Dumbledore), Timothy Spall (Wormtail) and Alan Rickman (Snape) leading the way.
It's rare to have this big of a budget ($250 million), this strong of writing (Steve Kloves) and a stellar cast of British actors in one spot and that mix makes it one of the best films in the series.
It's very dark, but has plenty of humor throughout.
It's the first film where I felt that Rupert Grint (Ron) held his own against Radcliffe and Emma Watson as Harry & Hermoine. He definitely comes into his own at the same time as Ron.
Long but never boring, this HALF blood prince is FULL time fun and gets an A.
