The first sequel to THE NAKED GUN, this very funny movie continues the slapstick and wordplay filled exploits of Frank Drebin (a perfect Leslie Nielsen) and his Police Squad (George Kennedy, OJ Simpson). The same director and writers are back and it shows as the laughs per minute are still pretty high. Their undercover performance as a Mariachi band, Franks non-stop assault on Barbara Bush and The Blues Bar are hilarious. Features my all time fave "Naked Gun" dialogue, Leslie Nielsen after meeting Robert Goulet, his ex's new boyfriend: "Now I'm sure we can handle this situation calmly, and like adults. Isn't that right, Mr. Poopy Pants!" hahaha Nielsen nails every word of dialogue. The Smell of Fear gives of a solid B.
