Look, I LOVE Jack Nicholson, but its probably good he didn't serve as his own director very often, because without someone to reel him in, he just about mugs through the screen in GOIN' SOUTH. Still fun to see Mary Steenburgen in her first screen role and John Belushi in a small but hilarious role as a Mexican bandito. Goofy, unchecked, but Jack having lots of fun is still contagious, even in a mediocre film. We'll hang it with a C.
