So Adam Sandler is a tough one for me. When he is funny, he is really hilarious, as in "Just Go For It", "Billy Madison" or "Happy Gilmore". When his movies are bad, they really stink, like "The Waterboy" or "Little Nicky". JACK AND JILL falls somewhere in the middle, with some really funny parts and a lot of lulls in between. Johnny Depp, David Spade, Drew Carey and Norm McDonald are all pretty damn funny here and Al Pacino throws caution to the wind, he is funnier than we've ever seen him. That being said, the best parts are in the trailer and its pretty predictable. If you are in the mood for dumb holiday laughs, enjoy. Otherwise, we give it a middling C-.
